Kinertic is a technology company developing carbon intensity data solutions for complex commodity supply chains. As the company prepared to bring its product to market, it approached us to clarify its positioning and develop a name and brand identity that could support both its go-to-market strategy and investor narrative.

The challenge was to define a clear role in an emerging category where many tools promise similar outcomes, yet differ significantly in the reliability and usability of their data. Kinertic’s advantage lies in its ability to combine multiple data sources and generate live carbon intensity mapping, enabling real-time decision-making rather than retrospective reporting.

Through our collaboration with the Kinertic team, it became clear that the product’s value lies not simply in reporting emissions, but in supporting buying and selling decisions in real time. Commodity trading environments are fast-paced and high-stakes, where professionals must navigate complex supply chains while balancing commercial and environmental considerations.

In this context, carbon intensity data only becomes valuable when it directly informs action. Rather than functioning as a passive reporting layer, the product operates as a tool embedded within the daily workflow of commodity specialists, enabling them to use carbon intensity data as a differentiating factor when making commercially-sound trading decisions.

POSITIONING

Our strategy was to frame Kinertic as a carbon decision co-pilot for commodity trade participants and financiers - a system designed to support complex trading operations with precise, real-time carbon intelligence. Instead of presenting carbon data as a compliance layer, the brand positions it as a practical input for commercial decision-making.

This positioning is built around several key statements: carbon intelligence should be precise and available on demand, grounded in deep commodity expertise, and translated into insights that are commercially relevant. By integrating first-party and industry data across the supply chain, Kinertic enables professionals to navigate carbon intensity matters with greater clarity.

RESULT

The concept informed both the brand identity and the product experience, translating the idea of a carbon decision co-pilot into a clear and cohesive system. The brand reflects the speed, complexity, and analytical nature of commodity trading environments, positioning Kinertic as a precise tool for operational decision-making.

The visual language draws inspiration from the world of data, algorithms, and structured logic, reinforcing the platform’s role as a reliable source of carbon intelligence. The visualizations further reflect a deep understanding of specific commodity industries, translating complex sector data into clear, decision-relevant insights. Typography plays a central role in expressing this character: Monument Grotesk Semi Mono introduces a technical, structured tone associated with coding environments, while Inter ensures clarity and readability across digital interfaces.

Together, these elements create a professional and grounded communication style that mirrors Kinertic’s purpose: transforming complex emissions data into actionable insight for commodity trading professionals.
