We are launching our Digital Culture Index - the first digital culture map of Europe

On 25 September 2026, at the Baltic Brand Forum in Rīga, we toasted the leaders of the Baltic Global Brands Index, the region's first research ranking its leading tech brands. Using AI and data analysis, the Index assesses each brand's visibility on the global stage. Explore the Index to see the 20 most recognisable brands from each country, ranked in full.

‍

B2B category Top 5: Pipedrive (Estonia), Omnisend (Lithuania), Oxylabs (Lithuania), Wallester (Estonia), Veriff (Estonia)

B2C category Top 5: Vinted (Lithuania), carVertical (Lithuania), Surfshark (Lithuania), NordVPN (Lithuania), Wise (Estonia)

The Baltic Global Brand Index 2026 is a research project established by Synthesis CG, celebrating the region's leading B2B and B2C brands for their impact, prevalence, influence and cultural relevance on the global stage. Based on an annual study, the index evaluates cross-platform communication reach and visibility, using AI to classify assets and data points.

For two decades, Baltic Brand consumer surveys have gauged how local populations perceive the local brands operating within the region. The Baltic Global Brand Index takes a different vantage point: for the first time, technological breakthroughs make it possible to estimate how these businesses are faring beyond the three neighbouring countries. Using AI alongside data analysis, Synthesis CG set out to capture how visible Baltic businesses are once they step outside their home markets.

The index centred on tech, a sector where Baltic companies target international markets from the outset. Synthesis CG data team analysed 150 top-performing, locally founded tech scale-ups and start-ups offering services to a global audience, drawing on dynamic AI models to process the data. As a result, the index rests on precise data measuring a brand's prevalence in the digital space.

"The success of the Baltics lies in necessity as much as ambition: with domestic markets too small to sustain growth alone, founders have to think globally from the get-go. carVertical's resonance with the automotive crowd on YouTube, or Vinted's partnerships with the likes of Alexa Chung and Jameela Jamil, shows that the region's resourcefulness resonates with the rest of the world, often dethroning home-grown brands like Depop in the UK. It is particularly exciting to see this happen on the B2B front too, with Pipedrive giving Salesforce a run for its money offering more sophisticated user experience and pricing options, and Oxylabs delivering intelligence infrastructure to serve the world's most complex data demands," shared Užkuraitis.
